From last weekend to this week, I have been too busy, and I took a day off to rest yesterday.
The farewell with Ai-chan was successfully completed. We (my family and I), smiling, took a commemorative photo with Ai-chan and
White-kun, taken by the dealer's staff. It was a time with Ai-chan that was both short and long. From now on, I'll rely on White-kun to do his best.
White-kun's first task was to go to the Hotel Peninsula. Early on Sunday morning, there was no traffic congestion on the expressway,
and we arrived at our destination.
The first-floor lounge, 'The Lobby,' is my favorite spot. Since we had plenty of time before our 9:30 reservation, we decided to take a break and have a cafe.
To our right was a businessman-like foreigner, and to our left, a middle-aged foreign couple, presumably, having breakfast. Looking around, I saw foreigners everywhere, making me wonder if the era of COVID has ended.
As the reservation time approached, I went to the dressing room on the 8th floor.
I spent a pleasant time with the lady in charge and was dressed in a visiting kimono after a long time.
Dressed in the kimono, I headed to the wedding venue on the 24th floor. Naturally, there were many familiar faces from the office,
which was comforting. Before the ceremony started, there were round tables placed here and there,
where people refreshed themselves with wine or lemonade. A pleasant time flowed with gentle conversations everywhere
before the wedding ceremony began.
Then, we were prompted to move to a separate room on the 24th floor, where everyone took their seats. Finally,
the wedding ceremony began.
Y-kun had a solemn expression. (He must be nervous.) Then, the bride appeared, accompanied by her father. (How lovely she is!)
The atmosphere became instantly more vibrant. I thought to myself that weddings are indeed for women.
The wedding dress had a long veil, several meters long. The bride, dragging the hem of her dress, proceeded forward to where the groom was waiting.
This couple chose a civil wedding ceremony. We became witnesses to their marriage.
(It reminds me of the similar ceremony my spouse and I had decades ago in November. It's quite emotional.)
I wished for their long and happy future..."
