It's Sunday morning. I stayed up late last night working at the office, so I allowed myself the luxury of sleeping in this morning.
Today, I plan to spend the day leisurely, organizing books and such.
By the way, I applied for paid viewing seats for the office at the Sumida River Fireworks Festival that will take place at the end of this month, and we won. It's a plastic sheet seat, but I'm thinking of making it a summer event for the entire office, where we can sit back and watch the fireworks.
The problem I'm grappling with now is how to procure food, drinks, and other items amidst the expected massive crowd.
I plan to leave the task of carrying the heavy items to the younger staff...
I'm thinking of showcasing my talent in aromatherapy a bit and presenting everyone with an insect repellent spray. My insect repellent spray
doesn't use any preservatives, so it can only be used for two weeks, but I thought it would be just right for the evening of the fireworks festival.
When the kids were still young, we used to go to the venue to watch the fireworks. As the children have grown, we've become distanced from the fireworks festival.
This year's fireworks are launched near the venue, so I'm imagining it will be an incredible sight.
Watching the fireworks with office associates on a hot summer night in Japan, if it becomes a good memory for everyone, that would be enough.
All I can do is hope that it won't rain...
