The conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra changed, and the concert began

Following last month, this month too, the concert was not conducted by Vladimir Fedoseyev, due to the conductor's ill health.

At 91 years old, I worry about his health, wondering if long journeys are becoming too hard for him at his advanced age.

Therefore, both the first and second halves of the concert were led by young Japanese conductors, a man and a woman.

I'm neither a professional in music nor deeply knowledgeable in classical music, so I refrain from making self-indulgent comments.

I thought about how these young individuals would grow and develop into wonderful conductors in the future. I cherish the fortune of being able to witness these young conductors, who represent the future, fully committing to a Russian music feature

with the NHK Symphony Orchestra.

The performance included pieces like Prokofiev's opera "War and Peace," Rimsky-Korsakov's opera suite "The Snow Maiden,"

and Tchaikovsky's ballet suite "Sleeping Beauty."
