Today is Hina Matsuri, also known as the Peach Festival. So, I'll head to the florist later and try arranging some peach blossoms at home!
Last night, I stayed late at the office, working. I finished everything that needed to be done.
There was a sense of accomplishment as I headed home.
However, I felt very tired on the way, so I decided to stop by my usual florist for a little break.
I always look forward to chatting with the owner; it's a nice change of pace.
Inside the florist, there was a nearly two-meter-tall flower arrangement. Upon asking, I learned it was a gift for an idol.
The colors of these gifts seem to be determined by the idol, varying from pink to blue to yellow.
It's incredible that people spend up to 100,000 yen on bouquets and wreaths for their favorite idols. According to the shop owner, there are quite a few people who do this.
It makes me wonder, where is the line between stalking and supporting an idol?
"People who support their idols seem to be energetic, cheerful, and having fun."
"I agree. It must be happy to have something to support. I hope I find mine too."
I asked the owner if he had anything he was passionate about supporting. He replied, "Not really.
I'm happiest when my customers are pleased with the bouquets and wreaths I arrange."
I understand how he feels. The people at the office seem to enjoy the flowers I arrange, and I can relate to the owner's sentiment.
With tomorrow being the Peach Festival, the owner suggested arranging some peach blossoms. So, I arranged some at the office entrance.
I hope everyone will be happy to see them when they come in next week.
