I'm planning to visit a horse riding club this weekend.
Last time, I followed the instructions of the car navigation system and managed to reach my destination.
However, it turned out to be more troublesome than I expected.
("Why on earth am I stuck in traffic on this national road?")
Sure, car navigation is undoubtedly convenient, but it can also cause a great deal of frustration at times.
So, I decided to navigate on my own. I purchased three city maps from Shobunsha Publications, covering the journey from my home to my destination.
Of course, one could use Google Maps, zooming and scrolling towards the destination, but for me, there's an undeniable appeal in spreading out a large map and tracing my path from my home to the destination with colored pencils.
Despite being an analog approach, it is, by far, a more satisfying method for me.
I feel as though I have already arrived at my destination.
Indeed, maps and colored pencils have become essential items for me.
I hope the weather will be nice this weekend..
