Next month, I plan to take a 10-day vacation and go on an island-hopping trip.
Originally, I intended to stay on Maui, but due to a sudden wildfire, I wondered if it would be intrusive to the island's recovery efforts.
I was pondering what to do.
I asked my travel agency if they could provide any information on the situation.
They replied that it's not impossible to visit Maui in November, but given the circumstances, I decided to switch my plans to
Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii.
At the moment, I don’t have any specific information. With a month left, I want to read books and other materials about Kauai and
the Big Island. Aside from the food, I'm eager to directly experience and immerse myself in the culture of each place. I'm quite curious by
nature!
Usually, my family and I lead very hectic lives. So, having a relaxed time once a year has become very precious to us.
We've realized that unless we physically distance ourselves from Japan, we can't truly unwind.
Before the pandemic, I meticulously crafted a travel plan titled "10 Countries I Want to Visit Next." It was a somewhat whimsical plan.
The 10th country was chosen by my spouse. Although our light-hearted travel list had been put on hold,
we've decided to resume it this year.
While I plan to relax on these southern islands, depending on the circumstances, I might indulge in my hobbies of horse riding and diving.
The last time, I rode horses on Oahu and the Big Island. I have fond memories of desperately trying to keep up with a handsome instructor who was galloping at quite a speed.
On the last day, I hope to stop by Oahu and have dinner with Professor Mr.D and his wife from the University of Hawaii. They are great
enthusiasts of Japanese culture and visited Tokyo this spring. Now, we're planning to meet them.
Finding things to look forward to is indeed joyful, isn’t it?
