How to build muscle strength?"

Yesterday, amidst the strong winds, I ventured out to my home riding club in Mito.

As instructed by the instructor last time, I continued doing squats twice. (Though I'm still doubtful if that's enough.)

When it was time to ride, as I attempted to mount the horse, my right foot brushed against the horse's backside.

I placed my right foot in the stirrup, shifted my weight forward, and sat on the saddle.

The instructor didn't miss my movement.

"You ride like that because your muscles have weakened. Next time, I'll shorten the stirrup by one hole."

"Mount and dismount immediately."

That's the most important thing for safety.

Next, be keenly aware of the horse's condition and movements.

Always pay attention to the movements of the horse's ears.

Use different parts of your body separately.

(Today, there were many reminders. Probably because a fellow rider fell off and had to be hospitalized for surgery.)

"Don't put your foot too deep in the stirrup, rather let it drop lower."

Engage your core, lean back a bit, and firmly seat yourself in the saddle.

"My right leg tends to slide, so I try to keep it more forward."

Having your foot deep in the stirrup indicates imbalance and not sitting properly in the saddle.

Sigh,

There's just too much to remember!!!
