I often use convenience stores for various occasions. And my most frequently used convenience store is FamilyMart.
It's a great place for people who use electric vehicles.
While not every FamilyMart has them, many have high-speed charging stations, which is an attractive feature.
I usually spend the 30 minutes of fast charging by shopping or having a coffee.
The FamilyMart I use turned into a self-service store. (I have a bad feeling about this.)
I thought I managed to pay by myself, but then I realized I didn't have enough credit. I was in trouble.
I was wondering how to charge and was fumbling around when the store staff told me that I can only charge at another machine in the back of the store. 'Please cancel your current shopping and come to the machine at the back,' they called me over.
So, charging is not self-service after all. I see, I see. I learned something new. After getting charged,
I went back to the self-service machine. This time, I confidently managed to buy my items. Phew!
But then, it turned out I was about to buy two of the same item.
'I want to delete one of these,' I asked the staff. 'You can't delete items, so please cancel the purchase and start your shopping again,' they said.
Third time's a charm, right?
This time, it must be okay. I shopped again at the self-service machine.
Shopping complete, and the receipt came out.
Finally, I was able to shop.
Happy indeed.
After all, convenience stores are supposed to be convenient..."
