November has come, and peaceful late autumn continues.
I took one day off during the three-day weekend and spent a wonderful time with my horse-riding friends. (It was really fun!)
The remaining two days, I devoted myself to work.
Working in a quiet office, I can work alone since there's no one else, which makes it possible to work efficiently. Occasionally, the sound of an ambulance siren is a reminder of Tokyo.
My family member spent the entire three-day weekend conducting workshops for the younger generation, and he should have flown to Oita as soon as the workshops ended. He must be busy now.
I have a riding lesson with Mr. R this evening.
I'm paired with a horse named A-kun, who is quite a challenging mount. He struggles to move forward and can't keep a straight line.
When attempting to make a circle, it turns into an ellipse or a half-circle, and a moment of inattention or a shift in my riding posture causes him to stop or change his pace - he's quite a troublesome horse.
During the last lesson, I had my first canter lesson on this horse.
It's been almost a year riding A-kun, and it was our first time attempting the canter. I was really surprised because I had thought cantering with A-kun was impossible, but then again, he's a horse, and it shouldn't be strange for him to canter...
When I mentioned to a horse-riding friend at the Equestrian Park that I managed to canter with A-kun, I received applause from two people.
Upon reflection, it's likely not A-kun who has changed, but my riding posture. Maybe in that posture, A-kun felt,
"Well, I guess I'll run for you!" It might have been a little bit of recognition from him...
