Today is Halloween.
I had little familiarity with Halloween, other than through movies and television. However, during my stay in America, I couldn't help but participate. I prepared cookies and candies, and variously costumed children knocked on the door of my house,
receiving presents of sweets and treats.
Of course, my children also dressed up and received candies from our neighbors.
Since returning to Japan, I haven’t had the opportunity to do such things, but I wonder if there are places in Japan where Halloween parties are being held.
Now, yesterday, I was truly exhausted. On the way home in the car, I felt a different sensation than usual.
Riding a powerful horse and making it run reasonably is quite physically demanding, I realized.
In a 20x60 horse arena (not using the entirety), making the horse gallop with all its might, and maintaining that gallop, felt impossible with my physical strength.
Naturally, I had the horse run full tilt, using half-pass at the corners and increasing speed along the long sides.
Due to this, areas like my shoulder blades and calves are fatigued.
In trotting and walking, I adjusted and controlled the reins, causing fatigue in my back, abs, and shoulders. To prevent a sluggish walk, I moved in harmony with the horse in my seat, resulting in fatigue in my waist and sacrum.
I received praise from the instructor for my riding, but I realized my physical stamina is not quite there yet. I wonder if it’s possible for a senior like me to increase muscle mass and strengthen my core? Maybe it’s too much?
These are the various thoughts I have, but for now, the most important thing is to relax my tired body. I’ll apply aroma massage oils and muscle fatigue relief creams to rest my body.
Fortunately, the significant fatigue allowed me to have a deep sleep.
