Yesterday, I had a riding lesson at the local equestrian club.
I immediately mounted and dismounted the horse (I was so hurried that I accidentally hit my chin on the saddle. How embarrassing!)
It seems that I’m still not able to master the correct riding posture. If only I could notice what I'm doing wrong,
I’d be able to make some corrections.
For now, I received guidance to "pull back the pit of the stomach and protrude the abdomen instead.
Keep the shoulder blades close together without opening the armpits, and avoid tilting the right shoulder forward,
keeping it slightly retracted. Also, sit straight on the saddle. (It's centered riding.)
I was also advised not to sway my upper body too much and to avoid bending my elbows and shaking the reins up and down.
Executing these movements correctly should make the sit bones prominent, feeling as though they're digging into the saddle.
Once I can master this sensation, it should allow for a stable seating position on the saddle,
enabling a more confident ride as the horse moves.
Will I be able to perform all these movements correctly? Well, practice is the only way.
As expected, the day after such a riding practice, various parts of my body are experiencing muscle fatigue.
I've just finished applying aroma massage oil and massaging the fatigued muscles since early this morning.
Horse riding is enjoyable. Mastering it might be impossible in a lifetime.
I just have to continue at my own pace, doing what I can.
