"Lifting the corners of the mouth is difficult."

There are times when people gather, and at the end, someone will say, "Shall we take a commemorative photo?"

Every time, I wonder, why does my face become so tense?

That's why I hate taking photos.

I always thought, "Everyone looks like they're having fun, but me…"

The day before yesterday, I had a conversation with the manager of a facial spa about this.

"Just by lifting the corners of your mouth, your facial impression can change. Please try practicing lifting your mouth corners.

At first, it will be difficult, so use your fingers. Place your fingers at the corners of your mouth and gently lift them up.

Eventually, you'll be able to lift the corners of your mouth without using your fingers."

Then, yesterday, I went out to Lalaport for some errands.

I noticed that people with lifted mouth corners looked very friendly and seemed to be having fun.

At the entrance of one store, there was a poster of a celebrity.

Upon closer look, indeed, the corners of their mouth were lifted, and they were smiling.

When I got back home, I tried practicing lifting my mouth corners in front of the mirror, but it was quite difficult.

It didn't seem like something I could easily do!

But, there was one thing I realized.

In the mirror, I definitely looked friendlier and appeared to be having fun (of course, I was using my fingers to lift my mouth corners).

Even though there wasn't much fun happening, the me in the mirror definitely looked happy and content..
