I don't dislike driving cars. Since I can't drink alcohol due to my constitution, I don't have to endure that either,
so I mostly go everywhere with my car.
Driving my beloved car, Ai-chan (which I drove until last autumn), was never a problem, but since switching to Mr. White, things have felt a bit off.
Mr. White is bigger and more powerful than Ai-chan.
Despite being accustomed to the unique way electric vehicles' accelerators and brakes work.
I've gotten quite used to things like the difference in wheel turning radius over these past few months.
But, one problem remains.
I can't seem to park properly. I want to park the car parallel between the white lines, but somehow, the car ends up at an angle. (If it were a horse, this sideways step would pass, but alas).
This tendency is stronger in narrow parking lots in Tokyo and at my apartment's parking.
I was pondering what to do about this when I discovered that my car seems to have a device that assists with parking.
Therefore, a dealer will come to our parking lot tomorrow to give me parking lessons. Hooray!
How much have I troubled this kind Mr. S? I asked Mr. S if it was possible to adjust Mr. White to Ai-chan's specifications,
and he sent me a video simple enough for a primary school student to understand.
Thanks to that, I can drive almost the same as I did with Ai-chan,
though I suppose it might feel unsatisfying to drive the powerful Mr. White. But as safety is my utmost priority,
I'll have to ask for his patience.
Tomorrow evening, I will receive a parking lesson in our parking lot.
I think I'll give Mr. S some Takano chocolates as a token of my gratitude!
