Driving on the Joban Expressway, the sky interwoven with the sunset looks just like a painting."

"I really like high-speed driving and I love highways.

One thing to mention is that you don't have to pay as much attention to people's movements and bicycles like you do on regular roads.

(This is about highways when there's no traffic jams or accidents.)

Today, I was moved by the sky over the Joban Expressway from Mito to Tokyo.

Anyone who has the chance to see the sky over the Joban Expressway from around 4 PM to 5 PM should definitely take a look.

At the start of 4 PM, the setting sun is shining bright orange. It's large and shines brightly.

For cars heading towards Tokyo, it's a dazzling time of day. Influenced by this orange, the color of the white clouds turns pink.

And the color of the sky is a light blue.

It makes me wonder how Turner would paint such a sky.

Mount Fuji stands serenely, but the setting sun on its right side, as if putting in its last effort, seems to be saying,

'I'm about to hide behind the horizon.'

As you continue driving towards Nagareyama, the sky changes again. The glaring setting sun from before can no longer be seen,

but its reflection creates a pale yellow sky at the horizon, above which are wisteria-colored clouds, and at the top, a grey sky, forming three layers.

Even without the setting sun that was next to it earlier, Mount Fuji doesn't lose its elegance. Impressive!

Normally, I would listen to music from Jim Hall, Bill Evans, Stan Getz, etc., while looking at the sky,

but it was so dramatic that I couldn't bring myself to listen to such music and instead chose a Bee Gees song.

I returned home cheerfully.

It was a fun drive in its own way.

It was really fun!!"
